AMERICAN

CORN BREAD

Ingredients:

1 bag of frozen corn, 800 grams

1/2 cup sweet cream

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon sugar

1 tablespoon butter

1/2 cup milk

1 tablespoon flour

4 eggs

200 g butter

1/4 cup milk

1/2 cup sugar

1 cup cornflour

 

Preparation:

Put the corn, cream, a tablespoon of sugar, a tablespoon of butter, half a cup of milk, 1 tablespoon of flour in a pot. Bring everything to a boil and cook for 20 minutes over low heat.  Grind the rest of the ingredients separately in a food grinder and place in a greased and fireproof bowl. Mix the two parts together. Bake for about an hour in an oven preheated to 180 degrees.

 

*Cornbread is the traditional dish eaten with turkey on Thanksgiving
